Succulents and stones are a natural compliment for this industrial chic terrarium - perfect for any home or office. The trick to getting an industrial chic look to your planter is to choose one made from a material such as stone, concrete, glass or metal.
Adding in plants such as succulents, who have unique shapes and patterns, will create a natural looking design without soft blooms or ivy. Choose a variety of shapes and sizes when picking your cacti and succulents, to really add contrast and interest. We also love how the glass sides to the terrarium show off the layered sand and stones!
Our first step is to add soil to the bottom of the planter, followed by a layer of sand or small pebbles. The larger plants go in first, followed by the mini 2" succulents. A funnel really helps to keep the finishing sand and small stone mixture in the right spots, without covering any of the plants.
