Planting outdoor container gardens with kids is great fun, easy and gets their hands in the dirt! For Mother's Day it's a great way to make sure you love your gift all year long!

These two experts are creating a beautiful planter with soft pinks, limes and a gorgeous turquoise pot. They begin with the biggest item in the pot - a Pieris Shrub with gorgeous pinks and greens. Around that they plant all sorts of grasses, ivies, and in-bloom flowers (pansies for spring!).

As an added bonus, they put in a Rosemary plant which will be great for using in the kitchen during the summer. Get creative and choose flowering plants for the season. If spring is almost over, then choose plants that will flower all summer long.

We love adding ivy because it hangs over the edge and connects the pot and plants in the design. Have fun!
