Burgundy Bordeaux Spring Planter

An elegant and colourful planter for spring, this burgundy themed container garden will welcome you home and make your guests smile! With fanciful feathers and lovely blooms, this is one of our most favourite yet! 

To hold all these beautiful plants, Jason uses a 17" pot so they will have room to grow. Always begin with a great potting mix to help your plants stay healthy. 

Starting with a tall Alberta spruce will add height and green hues in the back of the planter design. A pink flowering hebe has purple foliage that will fill in the design but also keep the colour theme going.  Of course, we have to add a hellebore for winter and early spring blooms! These also can be perennials, so you can keep it in the planter when you switch over the annuals or plant it in your garden for blooms next year.

Ranunculus blooms also have a purple colour, but with white as well to add contrast. These flowers are also great because of their height! For brightly coloured foliage, a heuchera always adds drama. Jason also adds pansies for long-lasting blooms.
