Wicker for A Fall Home

Wicker for fall

(and the rest of the year)

We're always reaching for wicker during the fall seasons (and through the other seasons as well) because of its natural design and versatile function indoors and out. From baskets to chairs, lamps and more—wicker stands the test of time for style and strength.

What Is Wicker?

Wicker is a style of weaving that can be used to make things like furniture, baskets and more. Traditionally, natural fibers are used (such as rattan), however it can also include synthetic materials.

Wicker for Fall

The fall season brings to mind natural-inspired colours, leaves littering the ground, and fading flowers. Rattan wicker fits perfectly into this motif—with its subtle colour which meld perfectly into the autumn season. It highlights a relaxed style for watching the twilight of summer and heading into a cozy time of year.

A Basket of Fall Blooms

Baskets work for all our fall designs! From classic chrysanthemums to ornamental cabbage and colourful heuchera...the texture and look create a fantastic autumn display. You can also use wicker baskets for your tropical and indoor plants this season.

For a stylish rustic look, pair your wicker pots with raw linen, unfinished edges on textiles, and wood furniture. Somewhere between cottage and chic, create a setting with natural tones and deliciously textured materials to really bring out the autumn vibes.

How to Clean Your Wicker Baskets

Is your wicker looking a touch dirty or black? Wash your wicker with warm water and soap. For mildew or mold, make a paste with baking soda and water to scrub using a toothbrush or heavier brush. Always make sure to let the wicker dry completely afterwards.
